The Cabernet Sideboard combines soft curves with classic detailing. The 4 center drawer fronts are sandblasted Oak hardwood complimented by Rift Oak for the balance of the cabinet. There are 2 lower drawers and 2 end doors with curved edges reinforcing the streamline form. The entire cabinet has a ceruse finish which is the sophisticated process of expressing the beauty of wood by contrasting tones. Cerusing is a 2 step process where firstly Evanson’s Custom Mink Stain is used to dye the Oak. A finish dark walnut stain is applied and then the second process of hand applying a black stain into the valleys of the wood’s surface. This second application is what brings even more dimension and character to the wood surface. This sophisticated process brings a timeless quality to the form.
