This beautiful rug is Portuguese in origin. From the 50s to the 80s Portugal was turning out some wonderful designs with magnificent workmanship. Now China has become the favorite source for European style rugs so this is truly a vintage piece. Except for binding materials the rug is 100% wool and a pad is strongly advised to prolong the life. The bright coloring used in the rug make it show well with most color schemes.
Color composition: Cream ground; major color medium green with light green & dark green accents; additional coloring in flowers of red pinks blues and yellow.
